SABARIMALA SANNIDHANAM -ESOTERIC KNOWLEDGE
SYSTEMS:
Ongoing deliberations in the Supreme Court of
India on the entry of the females to the Sannidhanam of Sabarimala from the
onset of Puberty to the menopause is taken along the lines of Fundamental
rights of the constitution, civil liberty, gender equality, discrimination and
superstition.
Is it appropriate to take up the matter on the
Sannidhanam of Sabarimala under the purview of the constitutional rights,
privileges, civil liberty, freedom of religion, superstition or on any other
grounds? Can the sanctity of Sabarimala Sannidhanam be left to the
liberty of the judiciary to adjudicate within the frames of law and
conscience?
Information explosion in India, over the past
forty years has created a disordered society which has crossed barriers of
ethics and flouted the social mores and Indian values. Extremist ideological
interventions created contradictory narratives in the pretext of social justice
and created distractions in the understanding of customs, traditions and
indigenous values. A new order of theoretical illustrations flared off a
symbiotic relationship between the rationales of extreme leftist ideologies and
religious fundamentalism. Historical vestiges are dug out to create new
dialogues to undermine the Indian traditions and values. This led to the
reading of every aspect of Indian values that are confined within the
perimeters of the Institutions and families in relation with the
constitutionality, and a new wave of activism innervated the present-day
intellectualism.
Around 1987, the weakening of the political
system and the government of the country rendered enough space and ideal
environment for tearing the societal fabric of the country with such
degenerative ideals. Mushroom growth of political parties based on caste, tribe
and linguistics led to political instability, weaker governments and rampant
rise in corruption and moral turpitudes in almost all spheres of
life. A new trend to destabilize the society became operative with
well devised tools to segregate Indian Nationalism from Indian traditions
through triangulations with secularism and other democratic ideals. Literature,
performing arts, cinema and the electronic media became the canvas to create
new caricatures of Indian ethos. Finally, localized issues were projected to
create furor in the national scenario and the matters were eventually dragged
for deliberations in the open forum of the judiciary.
It has to be kept in mind that the Indigenous knowledge
systems of India were developed through centuries and have their applications
today in only a few centres in India. These are often called the “Seat of the
Highest Order" that is “Peedth” (पीठ ). Each sage or Rishis had established their
respective “Peedth” in the entire length and breadth. In the later
periods, some of these came to be known as “Dhaam”. Their lineages
perished in the onslaught of invasions and with the peril of kingdom over
centuries. These centres should not be misread or misinterpreted with the
definitions of linguists, orientalists, ideologists or religious practitioners.
However, some of these centres were taken over
by Brahminical lineages and they kept these systems alive. Later on, with the
passage of time, changes in the primary occupation and deprivation of
patronages led to the disappearance of the knowledge systems, however, the
sanctity of some of these centres were maintained and continued as a family and
social proprietaries. The practices and systems centric to those Peedth were
sustained.
India, after independence did not invest
in giving a proper order and structure to these Centres, instead, treated these
streams as religious in nature. In the pretext of secularist policies, the
government distanced from facilitating the revival or growth of these into
present day institutions. Another factor that contributed to the peril
and disintegration of these centres and knowledge systems was that there were
no definitions and explanations or proper terminology to comprehend these systems
and convince the government on the relevance and values.
All these indigenous systems can be broadly
categorized as Esoteric Knowledge Systems which includes Siddhi and higher
orders of Subtle Energy systems, The process of developing subtle energy and
its application for independent time-based functions forms the levels of
YoGic gradations. The ultimate state in which visible realization
of the Siddhi is attained can be termed as “Quantum Superposition”. It
is the inherent power of vision and simultaneous physical presence in one or
more forms or in the same form at different places. Siddhi of Quantum
Superposition enables us to attain the forces that control nature and eventually
to control them. These disciplines are purely subject of State and are
for use for defence purposes. Those who attain these powers do not have the
right to display in public to prove their powers, convince anyone, or for
testifying. Esoteric Knowledge systems mostly is lost with those who achieve it
through their own efforts.
In Keralam, Sannidhanam of
Sabarimala- the Sabari Peedth is the centre of the Esoteric Knowledge system of
Siddhis. Esoteric knowledge is given as “Guhya Jjnaam” or "in-depth
knowledge on the discreteness of Energy, Matter, Space and Life”. Indian
systems have a broad categorisation of Knowledge systems into Bohdan, Adhya-Ayana (Adhyana) and Vidya which includes art (Shilpa) science (Shastra). The
entire gamut of Art Shilpa Sastra gave rise to defining and illustrating
formative structures, Sculpture, and literature. Science was an extensive part
which began with understanding the sound of nature and humans and animals known
as Shroudhari, it includes the systematic knowledge of Sounds “Dhwani”, Nada
and Shabda. Infrasonic and Hyper Attenuated Resonance Mechanics effectively put
to use infrasonic methodologies as a powerful methodology to create changes in
nature.
The Government or the Indian
society as such has no machinery, mechanism or Institutions to bring the
Esoteric Knowledge systems for faculty development and to develop
self-sustaining management faculties. The basic reason is the
unexplainable dominance of linguistic schools that treat Vedic systems as
Samskrutam (Sanskrit). Vedas became integrated with Puranas by the commentators
of the past millennia and were annotated with Vedangas and later entrants like
Tantric treatises.
Siddhis of Esoteric strata formed
the basis for Human faculty development and advancement. The Peedth or centres
which developed inherent energy systems were identified by the respective Sages
of the order of Muni, Rishi, Maha Rishi and Brahma Rishis. Some of these
centres have lost their identity during the conquests or invasions
and breaks in the lineages. In some of these centres, temples representing
certain cults emerged with practices which are meant to restrict the entry
of the public to limited periods in such Peedth. They will have restrictions
for both men and women.
Now the question on Sabari Peedth
of Sabarimala and the entry of women during the fertile age group and that of
men observing strict abstinence and celibacy and other conditions is
subject to be understood and explained on the basis of Esoteric Knowledge
Systems. The practices were devised and enforced to conserve and develop the
‘Subtle Energy’ field and the “Field of Omniscience “ of
the Sannidhanam.
Relationships between the wave
dynamics of the Siddhis and the Fertile period of women and
systematic observations for the men to enter the Siddhi Peedth are
to be understood in their own perspectives. It cannot be brought into the ambit
of constitutional and legal doctrines of the State. These cannot be narrowed
down to the questions on menstruation, rights of women or equality and
superstitions. The Argument that it is the anatomical or physiological
considerations that impose restrictions on women in the Sabari Peedth is
absolutely ab initio a wrong notion.
Once the question on the basis of
constitutional rights is raised in such a matter, the Judiciary of the Country
has the prime responsibility of examining the principles and the basis of such
practices. India is not a geographical territory that evolved in the modern
period. India has its own system of knowledge. Esoteric Knowledge systems are
for the good of the State, nature and for the common utility of the living
beings and are not confined to the Brahminical orders and the rituals, In
the Peedth above the “Eighteen Steps” is the Guru from whom the Esoteric
Knowledge Emanates.
Leave Sabarimala as it is. It
does not matter if the Coming generations of Tantris and head Priests have
Mantra Siddhi to perform the rites or not, but they are the destined one to
carry on the lineage. It is our task to leave the premises as such for
the coming generations to get the eternal blissfulness of Siddhis.
